What Types of Chemical Peels Are Available?
Peels come in varying strengths to accommodate different skin concerns and tolerance levels.
Light Peels
Light peels gently exfoliate the outermost layer of skin. These superficial treatments cause minimal discomfort and require virtually no downtime. They can be performed regularly—even monthly—to maintain a fresh complexion and enhance your regular skincare routine.
Medium Peels
Medium-depth peels penetrate deeper into the skin, reaching the upper part of the middle layer (dermis). They may cause noticeable flaking or peeling that lasts several days as your skin regenerates. The trade-off for this brief recovery period is more significant improvements that can last for months.
Deep Peels
Deep peels reach well into the middle layer of skin to dramatically improve severe sun damage, pronounced wrinkles and significant textural concerns. These powerful treatments require more preparation and recovery time but deliver the most transformative and long-lasting results.
During your consultation, we’ll determine which peel depth is the best fit for your skin concerns, lifestyle and comfort level. Many clients begin with lighter peels and gradually progress to more intensive treatments as their skin adapts and their comfort level increases.
