Medical-Grade Chemical Peels in Concord, CA

When you glance in the mirror and see dullness, uneven tone or blemishes staring back at you, your skin is trying to send a message: it needs a little help to get back to its best.

Chemical peels are an answer to that request for attention. Using carefully formulated acids, these treatments dissolve the dead skin cells and debris compromising your complexion to unveil the brighter, healthier skin beneath.

At MSpa, our mission is to MPower you to be the healthiest, most natural and most confident version of yourself.

What Are Skin Peels?

Our skin constantly renews itself through a process called cell turnover. Fresh cells are produced in the deep basal layer, then migrate up to the surface epidermis. Eventually, they die off and are naturally sloughed away.

This process doesn’t always work efficiently. Dead surface cells can accumulate and create a barrier that traps impurities, clogs pores and prevents your skincare products from properly penetrating.

A skin peel acts like a reset button for your complexion. The peeling process removes the barrier and stimulates your skin’s natural renewal cycles of collagen production and cell turnover.

The longevity of your results depends on the type of peel and your skincare routine. Some peels produce significant results in a single session. Others function best with a regular monthly treatment schedule.

What Types of Chemical Peels Are Available?

Peels come in varying strengths to accommodate different skin concerns and tolerance levels.

Light Peels

Light peels gently exfoliate the outermost layer of skin. These superficial treatments cause minimal discomfort and require virtually no downtime. They can be performed regularly—even monthly—to maintain a fresh complexion and enhance your regular skincare routine.

Medium Peels

Medium-depth peels penetrate deeper into the skin, reaching the upper part of the middle layer (dermis). They may cause noticeable flaking or peeling that lasts several days as your skin regenerates. The trade-off for this brief recovery period is more significant improvements that can last for months.

Deep Peels

Deep peels reach well into the middle layer of skin to dramatically improve severe sun damage, pronounced wrinkles and significant textural concerns. These powerful treatments require more preparation and recovery time but deliver the most transformative and long-lasting results.

During your consultation, we’ll determine which peel depth is the best fit for your skin concerns, lifestyle and comfort level. Many clients begin with lighter peels and gradually progress to more intensive treatments as their skin adapts and their comfort level increases.

What to Expect From Your Skin Peel

Book For A Personalized Plan

Preparation

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation at our Concord medical spa. We’ll recommend the most appropriate peel type and strength after analyzing your skin and learning about your cosmetic goals. We’ll also provide pre-treatment instructions to prepare your skin for a safe and effective peel experience.

Procedure

Your peel starts with cleansing your skin to remove oils, products, makeup and debris. Your provider will then apply the chemical solution and let it sit for a predetermined amount of time. During application, you might feel sensations ranging from mild tingling to a warming feeling. Most chemical peel treatments take 30-60 minutes.

Recovery

Recovery experiences vary depending on the depth of the peel. With light chemical peels, there’s virtually no downtime. Peeling is light or may not occur at all. With deeper peels, peeling begins within a few days post-treatment and lasts two to five days. We provide thorough aftercare instructions to maximize your results and comfort.

Results

While you may notice an immediate glow after your peel, the most dramatic improvements develop as your skin completes its renewal cycle. Full healing takes one to three weeks, depending on peel strength. Regular chemical peels build upon each other to create progressively improved tone, texture and clarity.

Is a Skin Peel Right for Me?

Chemical peels are suitable for a wide range of skin types and concerns. While they are most commonly performed on the face, peels can be appropriate for many other body areas with signs of aging or blemishes.

You might be an excellent candidate for a skin peel if you’re dealing with:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Uneven skin tone or texture
  • Hyperpigmentation or sun damage
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars or active breakouts
  • Dull complexion that requires revitalization

During your consultation, we’ll evaluate your skin’s needs and sensitivities to determine which of our peels will deliver the best results while accommodating your comfort level and schedule.
